Founders
Erika Cianciaruso
Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Erika has been dancing since age 3. Her focus shifted from ballet to ballroom at the age of 16 when she started training at East Towne Ballrooms in Milwaukee with coach John Abrams. She is trained in all 4 styles and has competed in several states across the nation. She was the WI State Showdance Champion in 2008 and took 3rd place at the 2009 WI State Open Pro/Am Latin Scholarship. Ballroom dancing is one of her strongest passions and she was dedicated to educating others around her. She co-founded Madtown Ballroom in order to offer the Madison community a chance to learn ballroom without the hefty cost and in a friendly and relaxed environment. She graduated from UW Madison in May 2010 with majors in French and Spanish. She hopes that Madtown Ballroom will continue to flourish and she will continue to bring ballroom into people's lives no matter where she is in the world.

Treveon Roseberry
Having been born in Houston, Texas, Treveon assimilated to the ever changing pop culture and temperature of this southern melting pot. Whether it was the un- employed street dwellers creating music with their surroundings, or the encompassing Hispanic population moving their hips rhythmically to the culturally flavorful sounds of Mexico and South America, Treveon was introduced to it all. He became fascinated with music. Later, he developed rhythmical hips of his own. He danced hip hop from the age of 11 until 17, after which he began to take salsa classes. One step led to the next and before he knew it, he was a Latin dancer- but only in his mind. Influenced by Dancing with the Stars and other dance geared television shows, he began to ballroom dance. He dove in head first in his first year of college, where he was able to literally devote some part of everyday to dance; it paid off. He has placed well in numerous competitions as an open amateur competitor, but enjoys most the performance aspect of this art and sport. He founded, along with Erika, Madtown Ballroom to bring something different to the University of Wisconsin- performance. In his mind, with the devotion and hard work of every member of this team that dream is being and will continue to be realized. Unfortunately, Treveon moved back to Texas at the beginning of his Junior year, but he visits often and is thrilled with Madtown's progress.

2012-2013 COORDINATORS
Megan Anderson, Co-Captain
Megan is a 5th year majoring in History/Broad-Field Social Studies with a Geography minor for Secondary Social Studies Education. She has been dancing ballroom since her freshman year, when she got the amazing opportunity to be on the Madtown Ballroom Performance Team. Prior to being on the team, most of her dancing was for Show Choir in high school. Having that as the basis for her dancing, she has come a long way and still has much more to learn! Megan is always excited to have opportunities to learn more and of course perform with this amazing team! She has taken the Administrative Co-Captain role this semester and is therefore in charge of communicating with team members, running captain meetings and team practices, updating the team website, as well as getting fliers and tickets printed for our various events to get Madtown's name out on campus! In addition to enjoying her time with the team, Megan likes to spend her free time reading, eating, and enjoying time with friends.

Megan Jones, Outreach/Choreographer
Megan started dancing when she was five years old with ballet classes, followed by some tap and contemporary dance in high school. She attended her first ballroom lesson in September 2008 and has been hooked ever since. She immediately joined the Salsa Rueda group, and auditioned for the Performance Team the following fall. She took up the role of Outreach Chair this year, so she communicates with the greater campus community, answering questions about our team and coordinating performances throughout campus. Megan also has choreographed multiple group numbers for the team, and will be choreographing a Cha Cha this semester as well! She is double majoring physics and astrophysics, and in her spare time enjoys reading, martial arts, and practicing her French and Russian language skills with friends
